                  Update and Pool News

 September 2nd - 2011 Swim Season has ended!

z  The swim season has come to an end today September 2, 2011.  It has been a great swim season!  Thank you for all your support and we will see you next year.

z   Thank you to the Ruby Valley Swimming Club for their efforts in the Sheridan Summer Festival and Pizza Night fundraisers to raise funds for helping out with pool needs.

 This year the pool club has purchased covers the changing areas.  These coverings will let light through but will stop the occasional summer rain shower from getting patrons clothes or towels wet.

Also the Pool Club has purchased and installed a Pergola so patrons can sit pool side and relax in the shade.  Nice addition to the pool.  Thank you Ruby Valley Swimming Pool Club.  You can support the Swimming Pool Club by enjoying a hamburger or hot dog and the summer festival - one of their two annual fundraisers.

The Pool Club will provide the lovely flower pots again this year in addition to a few more deck lounge chairs.

The Ruby Valley Swimming pool is an outdoor pool located in the town of Sheridan.   This pool is one of a few outdoor pools in southwest Montana.  The Madison County Sheridan Alder Park & Recreation District board has leased the pool from the Town beginning for the 2009 swim season.   The operation of the pool will be the responsibility of the Park District coordinated by the Pool Advisory Committee.  The Ruby Valley Swimming Club organized to build the swimming pool and has supported the pool since 1969.

Hours and season schedule are subject to change base on weather, pool operations and as determined by the Sheridan Alder Park & Recreation District or SAPRD at www.sheridanalderparks.org .  The Ruby Valley Swimming Pool is owned by the Town of Sheridan and leased by the SAPRD.  The 2011 Pool Manager is Colton Hellwinkel; the SAPRD contact is Charlie Rossiter.
