The 2009 swim season began June 19th with regular hours thru Sunday August 23rd.

The pool hours for August 24th thru closing September 7th are:
3:00 pm thru 7:00 pm Monday - Friday & 1-5 pm Saturday and Sunday.

The weather is occasionally cool and stormy. If there are less than 5 swimmers in the pool for at least a half an hour the pool may be closed. The pool is also closed during regular hours if weather conditions are considered dangerous. Please feel free to call the pool prior to swimming.

The Ruby Valley Swimming pool is an outdoor pool located in the town of Sheridan. This pool is one of a few outdoor pools in southwest Montana. The Madison County Sheridan Alder Park & Recreation District board has leased the pool from the Town for the 2009 swim season. The park district and town are working together to open and maintain the pool. The operation of the pool will be the responsibility of the Park District coordinated by the Pool Advisory Committee. The Ruby Valley Swimming Club organized to build the swimming pool and has supported the pool since 1969.

                  Aerobics / Lap Swim:
                        Mon-Fri:   6 am - 9am Aerobic class at 6:00 - 6:45 am, 8:00 - 8:45am
                                        Noon - 1pm Noon class start time

Lap Swim / Fitness
Mon-Fri: 6 pm - 7 pm

                   Open Swim:
                        Mon-Fri:   1 - 6 pm, 7 - 9 pm
                        Sat:          1 - 9 pm
                        Sunday:    1 - 5 pm

Pool may close in dangerous weather conditions or for lack of swimmers. Call pool phone for weather/open status during poor weather conditions for latest information.

Hours and season schedule are subject to change base on weather, pool operations and as determined by the Sheridan Alder Park & Recreation District or SAPRD at www.sheridanalderparks.org .
